Community Centre

CosCeol Irish Dancing:

Irish Dancing is very popular with many of Darver School’s pupils. Lessons are run by CosCeol in the Darver Community Centre on Saturday mornings from 11am-12pm. Classes are for boys and girls aged four years and up.  Lessons are taught by three qualified Irish dance teachers (Sarah, Colin and Joanne) with professional experience from Riverdance and Lord of the dance.  Many of our children have become well-established dancers, some of whom compete in the World Championships each year! To learn more please visit CosCeol’s website at www.cosceol.com

Badminton:

Badminton is a major part of sporting life for Scoil Dairbhre. The Darver Juvenile Badminton Club is one of the most successful in the country and is well known at Leinster level for its quality of players. The club caters for 4th, 5th and 6th Classes.

Speech and Drama:drama-masks

Speech and Drama takes place in the community centre on Tuesdays after school. The Training is certified through the Leinster School of Music and Drama. Drama gives the children the opportunity to build their confidence in a fun environment, with a very professional approach. Infants are collected from school by their teacher Michelle at two, followed by the more senior children at three.
